Homemaker and Companion Services (HCS) License

Definition & Services: Homemaker and Companion Services (HCS) provide non-medical support to adult clients. • Staffing Requirements: HCS staff do not need medical training or certification but must pass background checks and meet other state requirements for working with vulnerable populations.
  • Regulation & Oversight: HCS providers are regulated to ensure they do not provide unauthorized medical care and must comply with state standards for service delivery.
